Your files
Every PaperSwoop tool runs inside your web browser. When you convert, compress, sign, merge or split a file, it is read and processed on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to our servers, and we never see, store or share their contents.
Information stored on your device
PaperSwoop uses your browser's local storage, not cookies, to remember two things:
- How many free conversions you have used today, so the daily limit works.
- Your Premium license key, if you unlock Premium, so you stay unlocked on that device.
This data stays in your browser. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data or by pressing "Remove from this device".
Payments and license keys
Premium purchases are handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. They collect your name, email address, billing details and payment information under their own privacy policy, and send your license key to your email. We receive your name, email address and purchase details so we can support your account, but we never receive your full card number.
When you enter a license key, your browser sends the key to Lemon Squeezy's license service to confirm it is valid. Nothing else is sent with it.
Advertising
Free users may see ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
Premium users do not see ads. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Hosting and fonts
Like any website, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically records basic technical information when pages load, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers when a page loads.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't require an account to use the free tools.
- We don't use your documents for any purpose, because we never receive them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how it is used. To make a request, email us at support@paperswoop.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
PaperSwoop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
